“We were sad to leave!”
Our family has been coming to Nantucket for 21 years now-we have rented many different homes, but this one was by far the most magnificent. It is beautifully decorated and has every amenity you could ask for. Every single one of the beds are comfortable so you come home from vacation well rested! The pool is one of the most beautiful pools on the island...and the gardens...well one could get caught up staring at them all day! The owners are wonderful. My only hesitation in writing this review is that this house might not be available for us to rent next year! Thank you for an amazing vacation with our family. We were so sad to have to leave.

“The house is an oasis of calm and beauty.”
A treasure really. When you think of a perfect family vacation or friend gathering, what do you want? A place where each individual can find a favorite spot for privacy or contemplation and then have other areas where everyone gathers for laughs and breakfast or dining cheer. The way the house is situated is just perfect. You are in a garden. A garden. And it’s a huge vegetable garden where little kids can marvel and run around and experience nature’s bounty. How lucky were we that they shared this little piece of paradise. The rooms are well appointed and clean. The living areas easy to have lots of people without feeling crowded. Who doesn’t love a blue and white decor which beckons thoughts of the sea. Of course it is that expansive garden that gives you a sense of space. It never feels crowded even though we had my college aged son, his girlfriend, my stepdaughters and their families and my husband and I. This house resonated with everyone, and I mean everyone. We all got along so well and I think that is enhanced by such a pretty place. Another bonus is that because you drive down a road to get to the house, you never have to worry about the safety of your little ones. They are not running outside into a crowded street. It really is totally private which provides a sense of being all together without distractions. It also contributes to creating closeness which is what you want from your annual family gathering. Everyone is thrilled that we are going to have this house every year. It is that special.

“I would highly recommend this property.”
My husband and I have been coming to Nantucket for over 30 years. There is no place like it and that’s how we felt about the Guest House. The setting is absolutely beautiful and extremely relaxing. While sitting on the stone patio overlooking the gardens we felt like we were in Tuscany. The house worked perfectly for us and our family including our 13 month old first grandchild. Being so close to the beach was a real plus. The kitchen was well appointed and the living room was comfortable for hanging out. The covered wrap around porch added another space to relax and read a book or just sit and talk during a rainy day. Everything was so enjoyable that we already booked it for two weeks next summer. The owners were very accommodating and so easy to deal with. I would highly recommend this property.

“A peaceful place.”
My family rented One Pochick for two weeks in August ‘18. The house is conveniently located close to Surfside Beach, tucked away for privacy as well as being close to town (a short drive or bike ride). I have four teenagers and this was the perfect spot to allow everyone some independence depending on what they wanted to do each day.
The house was spotless and all amenities were up to date. The surroundings outdoor were beautiful, there were gardens and a lot of vegetation to view while outside whether reading a book or enjoying dinner from the grill. A peaceful place.

“We were SO happy to find The Barn”
We got married on Nantucket in June of 2017 and found The Barn at One Pochick while looking for a venue to host our farewell brunch. We were SO happy to find The Barn; tucked away on a quiet street in Surfside, The Barn is conveniently located, yet is truly a private oasis on-island. It was the perfect place for us to send off guests after our wedding weekend! We are so thankful for opening up their beautiful barn for us to share with our friends and family, for memories that will last a lifetime!

“To appreciate what heaven could be like…”
To appreciate what heaven could be like, and to appreciate family time, is to appreciate 1 Pochick Ave! My family as been fortunate to rent this amazing compound the last 5 summers, and it is our single favorite vacation spot period! The definition of serenity is having a drink over looking the infinity pool, while gazing out over the never to be disturbed marsh land. Do yourself a favor and check out this incredible property!

“We very much hope to visit again!”
We had a wonderful stay last August (2018) with 3 families and a bunch of young children. The property is fabulous, quiet and private with great views and lots of space, with beautiful and well maintained landscaping. Our kids had a fabulous time running around the property and we used the pool and pool house many times each day. There was plenty of space in the house for the 3 families to spread out when needed but come together to hang out and eat together. The kitchen was big and open, with plenty of room for everything we needed, and the outdoor grill area worked well for big dinners. The basement seemed like the perfect rainy day entertainment spot, but we had so much fun outside that we barely used it at all since we had such great weather.
The property owner was very responsive. She checked in when we arrive to see if we needed anything, answered questions about where things were located and made sure we knew how to reach people on island with any issues.
We very much hope to visit again!
